Persons with "A" typer personalities who cannot work their way down the alphebet will not enjoy Vietnam. I arrived shortley after 10PM. My luggege is someplace is Siberia. I arrived at the hotel only to find there was no room although I have confirmed it no less than 4 times, the last being just two days before I left. The man who was oing to take me to another hotel, by motorbike, had no motorbike and we walked about 1/2 mile. Fortunately I had no luggege to weigh me down. Brought a pile of hats for the ladies at the hotel where I did not stay which they enjoyed. Booked the rooms for my other guests, which I will check the day they arrive. The tempertature is 80 and it has rained part of the day. The first thing I did was get a shave and a haircut - two bits. A barver shop is any place a barber can hang a mirror.

On the way

I leave in several hours for Nam where I take people on adventures. I don't know anything about blogging but someone said it might be good for business. I am running two trips, a motorcycling trip followed by an SUV trip. The people going all seem quite charming. Although I do my best to explain that Vietnam in an emerging country (I have never liked the term 3rd World) some people have trouble understanding the concept. One lovely lady said she wanted to pick up a "Starbucks Hanoi" cup for her friend. I enjoy such questions. My job is to help educate people and the change in them during these trips is miraculous. I do my best to take people out of their comfort zone. If a trip can't do that, why go?
